Austin Music Hall Expansion

The Novare-Andrews Urban group has teamed up with Direct Events in the $5 million renovation and expansion of the Austin Music Hall. The new hall will comprise increased size from 22,000 to 43,000 square feet; increased general admission from 3,000 to 4,000; increased seating capacity from 1,800 to 2,800; new 2nd-floor/mezzanine level overlooking stage; two-story, upscale restaurant with late-night service and outdoor patio; improved sound, lighting and electronic technological features; pedestrian "musical promenade" on south side of 3rd St.; landscaped seating area on 3rd St. along Shoal Creek; new contemporary exterior materials, including ample use of glass and stone; and a special tribute to the history of music in Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World.
