Marriott Convention Center Hotel
From Urban Austin
Merrillville, IN-based White Lodging Services Corp plans to construct a $250+ million; 1,000-room hotel on a block bound by Congress Avenue, Brazos, 2nd and 3rd Streets in downtown Austin. Plans call for a single, 1,000-room Marriott Convention Center Hotel to be built along Brazos Street. Also included in this development will be 85,000+ SF of meeting, retail and restaurant space, as well as 3 levels of below grade parking.
Construction is expected to start in late 2008 and take approximately 26 months to complete.
